How to Read Odds
To succeed at betting, understanding odds is essential. Here is a simple explanation.
Decimal Odds
The simplest format. Bet × Odds = Total Return.
Example: ৳500 × 1.80 = ৳900
That means your profit is ৳400, plus your original ৳500 bet back, for a total of ৳900.
Implied probability: 1 ÷ 1.80 ≈ 56%. This means the bookmaker believes that team has a 56% chance of winning.
Fractional Odds
A format common in the UK — shown as profit ÷ stake.
Example: 4/5 means a ৳5 bet returns ৳4 profit
Total return is ৳9 (৳4 profit + ৳5 original stake).
To convert to decimal: (numerator ÷ denominator) + 1. 4/5 → (4÷5)+1 = 1.80.
American Odds (Moneyline)
Expressed as a positive (+) or negative (-) number.
+200 means a ৳100 bet returns ৳200 profit
-150 means you need to bet ৳150 to profit ৳100.
rh999 uses the decimal format, which is the most straightforward for Bangladeshi players.
